To make sure your bracelet fits perfectly, there are two ways you can adjust it.
The first is by visiting a local store nearby where you are located.Secondly, you can purchase an adjustment tool with your watch via our website.
Once you have your bracelet fitted properly, you can adjust it on the fly with our GlideLink micro-adjust feature.
As for a material or leather strap, we have a range of sizes to choose from to suit larger and smaller wrists. We will reach out to confirm your wrist size when you place your order. This will help us suggest the best strap size to suit your wrist for optimal comfort.
If you need help adjusting your bracelet, you can learn how here.
To set the time, unscrew the crown if your watch has a screw-down crown. Pull the crown out to the second position and turn it until the hands show the correct time.Pass 12 once to confirm AM or PM.To set the date, push the crown back to the first position and turn it slowly until the correct date appears in the 6 o’clock window.
Avoid changing the date between 9 PM and 3 AM.
When finished, push the crown fully back in and screw it down if your watch is equipped with a screw-down crown.
You can also download your watches user manual by visiting the models product page. Or you can visit our journal where we have videos on how to set each watch in our collection.
So reserving a watch requires a paid deposit. This guarantees that when your watch is available, you are entitled to purchase the watch.
Joining a waiting list for a watch means if a watch becomes available, we will notify you to offer you the timepiece to purchase. We very rarely have watches available as most are already reserved before production. But in the rare instance where a watch does become available, we will reach out to the person who has been waiting longest on our waiting list.

Mechanical watches are intricate instruments made of dozens of moving parts. Regular servicing ensures:
- Accuracy & performance: Oils inside the movement dry over time, affecting precision.
- Longevity: Servicing prevents unnecessary wear on internal components.
- Reliability: A well-maintained movement keeps your watch running smoothly for many years.
- Warranty protection: Issues caused by lack of maintenance or improper use are not covered under warranty.
Our watches come with a 2-year warranty (24 months) that covers manufacturing and mechanical defects.
If you’d like to exchange an item, please contact us at scott@emertonscott.com
Once approved, you may return the item in its original, unused condition.
Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and any duties or import taxes paid on the original order are non-refundable.
Once we receive your return, we will process the exchange promptly and send out your new product.
Tariffs, Duties & Taxes
We aim to make the purchasing process as transparent as possible. Depending on where you live, your order may be subject to tariffs, duties, or local taxes.
The prices displayed on our website are the prices you pay before any applicable duties or taxes. Depending on your country or state:
- Local sales tax is not charged by us but may be charged by your government.
- Import duties or tariffs may be charged by your local customs authority when your watch enters the destination country.
- These charges vary by region and are set by your government, not by us.
- We do not profit from duties, tariffs, or taxes.
If your country charges import duties or taxes, the courier will contact you and ask for payment before completing the delivery. Your watch will only be handed over once these fees are paid.
- If you cancel your order before it ships, any shipping fees, tariff or duties collected at checkout will be fully refunded.
- If you return your watch within our return window, any taxes or duties paid at checkout will also be refunded.
Important:
Duties or taxes paid directly to your local customs authority (not at checkout) will not be refundable through us. You may need to apply for a refund from your customs agency, depending on your country’s regulations.
We can only refund payments made directly to us through our website, at emertonscott.com.
If you refuse the parcel to avoid paying duties:
- The courier will return the package to us or may attempt to return it depending on your country’s customs rules.
- Once the watch arrives back safely and passes inspection, we will process your refund.
- Outbound and return shipping fees, as well as any customs return charges billed to us, will be deducted from your refund.
Duties that were never paid (because you rejected delivery) cannot be refunded.
It is the reasonability of the customer to check and pay tariff fees and duties for the product they have purchased. This is not the responsibility of Emerton Scott (Lancaster & Co Limited).
Import duties and tariffs are set by your country’s customs authority, not by us. To find the exact amount, you can check your government’s customs website or contact your local customs office.
Some couriers (such as DHL, FedEx, or UPS) also sometimes provide duty estimates during shipment. So you could also contact them in advance to ask what the duties or tariffs may be before placing an order or whilst waiting for your item to be delivered.

2. What these terms cover
These terms govern our supply of goods (e.g., watches and accessories) and services (e.g., repairs/servicing).
3. Ordering & acceptance
3.1 Your order is an offer to buy. We accept when we send an order-confirmation email; a contract then forms.
3.2 If we cannot accept (e.g., out of stock, pricing/description error, compliance/shipping restrictions, risk flags), we’ll notify you and won’t charge you.
3.3 We’ll assign an order number—please quote it in any correspondence.
4. Products & bespoke work
4.1 Images are illustrative; colours/finishes may vary by display, lighting, batch, or natural materials.
4.2 Packaging may differ from images shown.
4.3 For engraving, bracelet sizing, or any custom instructions, you are responsible for accuracy. We can’t refund costs arising from errors you provide.
5. Changes to your order
Contact us promptly. If changes are possible, we’ll confirm impacts on price/timing. If not acceptable, you may be able to cancel as per Section 8.
6. Minor product changes
We may make minor adjustments for legal/regulatory compliance or technical improvements. These won’t materially affect use.
7. Delivery, taxes & duties
7.1 Costs are shown at checkout.
7.2 Where we ship: worldwide except the following destinations: Afghanistan, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Burundi, Central African Republic, Crimea, Cuba, DRC, Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Mali, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea, Guinea/Guinea-Bissau, Russia, Palestinian Territories, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe.
7.3 DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid) by default: the recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes, brokerage and clearance fees on arrival, unless we explicitly state otherwise.
7.4 We may ship items from the same order separately at no extra cost if that speeds delivery.
7.5 Pre-orders: dates are estimates and may change—we’ll offer a revised date or a refund if timing shifts significantly.
7.6 Delays outside our control: we’ll notify you; we’re not liable for such delays. If risk of substantial delay arises, you may cancel for a refund of undelivered items.
7.7 If delivery fails: follow the courier’s notice to rearrange. Storage/redelivery fees may apply.
7.8 Risk passes on delivery to the address you provided.
7.9 Title passes when we receive full payment and dispatch the goods.
8. Returns, cancellations & warranty
8.1 Change-of-mind returns: a 60-day window from delivery for unused items in original condition with all accessories and packaging. Excludes engraved/bespoke items unless defective.
8.2 How to return: email scott@emertonscott.com for instructions and an RMA. The return address varies by your region; we will confirm via email. Unless we made an error or the item is faulty, you cover return shipping and remain responsible until received.
8.3 Faulty or misdescribed items: you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under applicable consumer law and our warranty.
8.4 Warranty: watches include a 2-year movement warranty against manufacturing defects from delivery. A paid 3-year extension is available (total up to 5 years). The warranty excludes wear/tear, accidental damage, misuse, water-resistance compromised by handling, and unauthorised repairs or modifications. Full warranty terms accompany your watch.
8.5 No right to change your mind for: (a) engraved/bespoke goods once work has started; (b) services once started with your agreement.
8.6 EU/UK statutory cooling-off (informative note): if you are an EU/UK consumer buying at a distance, you generally have a 14-day right to cancel from delivery (or from contract for services), to be exercised by a clear statement (email is fine). You must return goods within 14 days of cancellation; you may bear return costs unless the item is faulty or we agree otherwise. We will refund the product price and the standard outbound shipping (if any), less any permitted deductions for handling beyond what’s necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. This statutory right does not affect our 60-day policy, which is in addition to your legal rights.
8.7 If you cancel where we’re not at fault and no statutory right applies, we may deduct reasonable costs incurred.
9. Pricing, taxes & payment
9.1 Prices and currencies are shown at checkout. We take reasonable care to ensure accuracy.
9.2 Taxes: prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of applicable sales tax/VAT based on destination. Any taxes due will be displayed at checkout.

9.4 Payment methods: major cards via Stripe/Shopify Payments, and PayPal. Payment is taken before dispatch (goods) or before work begins (services).
9.5 If we need to verify or adjust charges for taxes/duties/compliance, we may place the order on hold and contact you. If unresolved, we may cancel and refund.
10. Our right to end the contract
We may end the contract if you: (a) don’t pay when due; (b) don’t provide information we need; (c) don’t send items for agreed services; (d) don’t accept delivery. We will refund undelivered goods less reasonable costs arising from the breach.
